Adult Learn 2 Curl League

Tuesday Evenings @ 7:30PM

The learn to curl program is for anyone that has never curled before or anyone that has curled very little. The club supplies everything needed to learn to curl like grippers, sliders, brooms, stabilizers or sticks. The only thing needed is a pair of clean indoor shoes.

There is a mix of indoor classroom style learning and on ice training. We start with the basics of learning to slide, learning to sweep & terminology. We teach you curling etiquette and the strategy behind the game.

After the course you will able to confidently play in the club leagues. Plus you will have gained the social aspect of the sport as well.

You don’t need any curling equipment to join, you just need clean indoor shoes. Grippers, sliders and brooms are supplied at the club for you to use and included in registration fee.

What should I wear for curling?

Comfortable clothes that you can move freely in. Also recommend layers since the ice area is cold but as you get moving you may warm up.

What if I am not fit?

Curling is a great sport for people of all fitness levels. If you can’t crouch down, no worries we can teach you to stick curl.

Why should I try curling?

Curling is as much a physical sport as it is a mental sport. It challenges your strategic thinking and gets you working as a team. Best of all curling is a social activity and a great way to meet new people.

What if I don’t have good balance?

That’s ok! Our learn to curl program walks you through finding your balance, exercises to try at home and stretches. The Club also has stabilizers to help with your balance while sliding.
